The arm is recovered from surgery. Got first action for York in a scrimmage against Stevenson University. Faced four batters in a scoreless inning of work. Here's video of the warm ups.

Pitching Lessons, Hitting Lessons, Fielding Lessons

I'm now offering pitching, hitting and fielding lessons. If you want lessons or know of anyone who has a son who's a young baseball player who's looking for instruction, please let me know.

A typical pitching lesson lasts an hour and includes stretches, warm-up exercises, work on mechanics, instruction on grips for different pitches, long toss and throwing. I can also videotape the throwing session for follow-up consultation. Hitting and fielding lessons are combined and also last an hour.

In case you're not familiar with my background, I'm currently a pitcher for York College of PA and for the Chesapeake Bayhawks summer tournament team. I played high school baseball at Loch Raven in Towson and was a starter on the 2008 Raiders 2A state semi-finalist team. I took pitching lessons from former major leaguers Dave Boswell and Rick Krivda, as well as from Baseball Factory and my high school and college coaches.

Hit in State Tournament

This shows my double in our state tournament game against eventual 2A state champs Kent Island. It was my team's first hit of the game.

You can also see me wince after swinging. That's because I tore my labrum in my left shoulder while batting in the game before. It was my non-throwing shoulder, so I was able to play summer ball, but I couldn't bat. I've since had surgery to repair the tear and should be back in training this winter.
